After what has been a difficult six months for many professional football clubs throughout Europe, the road out of the COVID-19 pandemic is slowly becoming clearer each day. For Larne Football Club, this means a delayed start to their top-flight campaign, with the Northern Irish Premiership set to recommence on Saturday 17th October.
The Inver Reds’ pre-season is currently underway, with supporters having already experienced the ‘new normal’ after 450 spectators were allowed access into a recent training match at their home stadium of Inver Park.
Although the recent period of uncertainty halted the finish to many competitive seasons, it certainly didn’t prevent the forward thinking coaching team at Larne from continuing their preparations for the upcoming season, which will now include the use of the Nacsport video analysis software and KlipDraw telestration tools for their football video analysis.
First team manager at Inver Park, Tiernan Lynch had this to say:
“Our journey began just over three years ago and we have made large strides year-on-year which we are delighted with. At the time of speaking, we are the only completely full-time football club in Northern Ireland and are constantly aiming to deliver the most professional training environment possible for both our first team and youth set up.”
“One aspect of our weekly preparations which had been missing was a quality analytical system. As a group, our coaching team had considered many different packages but simply could not find a software programme which met our needs and budget. However, after speaking with Bradley at AnalysisPro, we knew we were on the right track and are so far delighted with the Nacsport and KlipDraw software for our football video analysis.”
“During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we placed great focus on analysing and rebuilding our all-round game plan for the new season, and this would not have been possible without the Nacsport video analysis software provided by AnalysisPro. During this period, we analysed the performance of both individual players and the collective unit and have now arrived at the beginning of pre-season with a clear playing philosophy and new ideas.
“During the early stages of pre-season, we have been able to communicate this new information to the players in an efficient yet detailed manner and are delighted with the early performances in training and matches.”
It’s great to be supplying our performance analysis solutions to Larne FC. It was evident that Tiernan had a clear vision of how and what he wanted to analyse, so it was just a case of offering our support to transfer those ideas into the Nacsport video analysis software and define what the new processes looked like.
From creating key clips, to building presentations and adding telestration drawings with KlipDraw Animate, Tiernan and the Larne FC team have ensured that they can best prepare their players for the season ahead!
