Charterhouse School expand their analysis with AP Capture

Today we would like to introduce another new AP Capture user, Charterhouse School. The school are already in our community as they have 2 Nacsport Basic Plus licences and a Tag&go iPad licence too, so it’s great that they are expanding their performance analysis provisions by taking on board another one of our synergetic video analysis solutions.

The grounds and sports pitches at Charterhouse are spread across a vast campus, which can make filming matches and training quite a tall order across the year. Being able to effectively film those activities also requires equipment and importantly a good vantage point, which isn’t always possible when looking to film at multiple sites. Therefore something tall and portable was required to enable the Charterhouse Sports Department to further develop and utilise its video analysis processes.

In late September, we returned to Charterhouse to review their use of Nacsport and deliver some additional training, highlighting new features that will enable the school to easily see a breakdown of performances with a statistical dashboard output. In these pictures you can see David Howells (Director of Football) and Sam Plater (Sports Development Coach) using their Nacsport software, reviewing the registering environment and the presentation window.

However, this wasn’t the only thing that we were back at the School for, as we were also delivering our AP Capture Mobile Tripod, providing a solution to the filming requirements at Charterhouse. After going over some Nacsport training and installing AP Capture on their new laptop, we took the school’s new tripod solution outside to show them how to easily set everything up and take it back down again.

Nick Beasant, Director of Sport, seems delighted with his new toy:

Having already worked with AnalysisPro and extensively used their Nacsport software, we had no hesitation in asking them to provide us with their state of the art mobile filming solution. Having already had the opportunity to use the new IP Camera, the quality and clarity of the footage coupled with the ease of use and assembly make it an excellent product for our coaching staff to use.

It was great to catch up with the Charterhouse School team to review their Nacsport processes and get them used to their new AP Capture mobile tripod solution during our visit and we look forward to seeing how they get on throughout the year. We would like to say a big thanks to Nick Beasant and his team and wish them all a successful year.

Following on from Remembrance Sunday and as it is Armistice day tomorrow (11/11/15), we thought it would be fitting to leave you with this final picture of Nick and Sam with their AP Capture solution in front of the school’s Chapel, which was consecrated in 1927 as a memorial to those who died in the Great War and is the largest war memorial in England.
